When stress in the body prevents your voice from sounding free.

Feel your body, free your voice

Somatic voice work

When technique alone is no longer enough

Sometimes vocal issues are not primarily technical in nature. The voice responds to stress, pressure, and experiences stored in the body.
In somatic voice work, we focus on perception rather than correction.

We pay attention to what happens in the body before and during the sound is produced, and we work with this knowledge gently.

Somatic voice work can support you with

Stage fright

Finding ways to manage nervousness and pressure.

Disconnection

When you feel “stuck in your head” while singing or speaking and are looking for a joyful and spontaneous expression.

Self judgement

Feel your throat lock up as soon as you try to „sound good“.

Be Aware of Your Body - Tap Into Your Resources - Live Your Expression

Somatische Körperarbeit

Training perception, not results.

By paying attention to physical sensations and different levels of perception, we can support the body so that technique becomes accessible.

Not by forcing changes, but by creating conditions under which the voice can self-regulate.

Specifically, you learn to recognize physical signals early and regulate them so that you can use your voice confidently even under pressure or in difficult situations.

Note: Somatic voice work is not psychotherapy. It can complement therapeutic processes, but it does not replace them.

What my students say about working with me

Christian says:

“Involving the body and working without pressure made a big difference for me. Nothing is forced - and that’s why things shift profoundly.”

Participant online course:

“When I first started, I felt more I was in my upper chest, quite husky, and there was tightness. But then the next exercise after I felt freer, and it was like there was more space. And then we did another exercise after, I felt calmer and relaxed in my body, and I felt like when I was singing, it was actually coming from me, and it wasn't this feeling of performing, or trying to sound good. It just felt like it was coming from my center.”

Participant online course:

“So, in the first exercise, I was very attached to the outcome, I guess. I felt unsure, and my throat was really tight, and I felt kind of embarrassed, even though I was singing to myself about my own voice. And then, in the practice, it was amazing the difference. It really gave me that feeling inside of inspiration and joy, that there was such a shift for the second time I sang. And I was able to hit the high notes.”
